Grimm Inventory License & Terms
License & Terms
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms explain what you get when you buy a license for Grimm Inventory (the "Plugin") from Grimm Forge Studios ("we", "us"). By buying, downloading or using the Plugin you agree to them. In short: the code is yours to use under the GPL, and your license key gets you updates, support and our connected services.
1. The software license (GPL)
The Plugin's code is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, the same license as WordPress. That license, not these terms, governs what you may do with the code itself.
2. What your license key includes
- Updates for life of the product. Every new version and feature we release, delivered as one-click updates in your WordPress dashboard, for as long as we continue to develop and sell the Plugin. If we ever stop, the version you have keeps working.
- One live website at a time. Each key can be active on one live site. You can move it by deactivating it on the old site first. Development and staging copies (for example
localhost,.local,.test, orstaging.anddev.addresses) don't count. - Support by email and through our support form, on a reasonable-effort basis.
- Connected services such as marketplace connections and stock syncing when they are available. These run through our servers and require an active key.
3. Fair use
Please don't share, resell or publish your license key, or use it to get updates or services for sites it isn't active on. We may turn off a key that is shared publicly, used on more sites than allowed, or used to abuse our services. Your site keeps displaying your items even if a key is turned off.
4. Your data and your sites
Your inventory, photos and sales history stay in your own WordPress database. We don't have access to them. When a key is activated or checks in, your site sends us its web address, the Plugin version and the WordPress version so we can verify the license and deliver updates. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party marketplaces
Facebook, Instagram, eBay, Etsy and TikTok are independent companies with their own rules. You're responsible for following their terms when you list and sell. Features that depend on them may change or stop working if they change their services, and we're not responsible for their decisions (for example a removed listing or a suspended account).
6. Payments and refunds
Purchases are processed by our payment provider, which acts as the reseller and handles payment, receipts and sales tax. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
7. No warranty
We work hard to make the Plugin reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Please keep regular backups of your website.
8. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost sales or lost data arising from use of the Plugin or our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the Plugin grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use updates or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA. Questions? Email admin@grimmforgestudios.com.
